Here's a recapitulation of the magnificent trekking (Cleaning as Well…) experience we had before the details fade out of our minds - though I'm sure the experience will remain unforgettable. The end of the trek is a good time to reminisce on the highlights of the trip, cos our energy during the actual trek seemed to be spent mainly in that half-second that it took to put one foot in front of the other and keep climbing.
First of all, thanks to all of you for executing the trek to clean admirably. The camaraderie, bonding and group dynamics were fantastic. The planning worked like clockwork and right things happened at convenient times, a great showing in all.
Special mention to K.K. and Muru who somehow managed to bring out the best for completely enjoying the present moment, and the next, and the next... laughter made the experience 200% more fun for everybody else.
Some moments in time stand out like snapshots frozen in memory step by step (No offences made to any one…): -
· Praseed’s affairs with the monkeys for the morning break fast.
· Nandini’s generosity in giving the Break Fast packet to the monkeys.
· The fluorescent dress code of Nandini.
· And of course the unforgettable 16$ Sun block (Banana Boast).
· Parul’s way of taking the Sun block (It was 16$ … no joking).
· My way of advertising the Sun block, and the look on Praseed’s face when I went around offering it to everyone around.
· Long wait of Nikhil and Parul for the lunchJ.
· Our long chat after lunch, while we were waiting for the rest of the group to get back down from the peak (peppered with jokes about Praseed’s 16$ Sun Block).
· Nandini’s face after the trek.
· Trekking a small portion of the Hill without the stair support!!!
· Praseed’s Superman stunt.
· Murugan’s helping nature (Praseed u know it betterJ).
· Parul finally making the top of the hill (Of course Nikhil tooooo…).
· New shining shoes of Rohini and Bhagya.
· Murugan and N.C.C, what is common in these?
· One moment Muru is ahead of us and the other moment he is behind us and yes we never got lost on our way.
· The KLPD or the KLDP???
· Dedication song to Parul.
· Darshini our own Latha Mangeshkar.
· Rohini’s Snoring (I know she wont agree to this but only proof we have is a photograph without the voice enabled!!!)
